My Parts Club™ is a highly convenient online platform for car owners to manage their car maintenance needs. For a minimal monthly payment, car owners get access to a limited lifetime supply of replacement parts and maintenance products. The platform also connects the car owners with authorized mechanic shops to install the parts and have the services performed at very affordable labour costs.
My Parts Club™ offers an online booking functionality, which car owners can use to set-up appointments with mechanic shops that are authorized by My Parts Club™. A car owner can either have the parts shipped to an address of their choosing, or have them shipped to the mechanic shop prior to the appointment.

INSPIRATIONS
After consulting the client and clarifying what is required, the first challenge was to design a logo that encompassed all the key aspects of the platform. I finally came up with several distinct concepts that conveyed a multi-faceted yet easy to understand the message.
WRENCH
Symbolizing maintenance and repairs, the wrench icon represents the core of the business, hence its central position within the logo, the first thing to capture the viewers attention.
NUT
As in literal use, the nut here represents the interconnection of the parts, in other words, the aspects of the business. By bringing everything together, the nut conveys the message that what's offered is a complete solution.
PISTON
A critical part of any engine, the heart of the vehicle, the piston is used in the logo as the driving force behind the business and the commitment to further advancing the quality of life.
CROWN
The crown represents wealth and power, delivering the underlying message that members have the power to choose what they pay for and maintain healthy finances.
PENDULUM CLOCK
The pendulum clock is used as the overarching theme of time, aligned with the business' key value proposition of being hassle-free and time saving.

Once the logo was created, I came up with an idea of animated pre-loader for the mobile app and website submission forms. It consists of a car orbiting around the logo, representing the near-infinite lifetime of a car with proper maintenance. Eventually, this concept will be used to build custom promotional materials such as an actual My Parts Club™ clock to be distributed to authorized service centers.

The client needed a mascot designed in line with the nature of the business. Following several brainstorming sessions, I came up with the concept of a fun and friendly mechanical animal and chose a monkey due to its striking similarities with the human anatomy and sharp intellect.
Using auto parts for body parts including Shock Absorbers for legs, Control Arms for the arms, Wiper Blade for the goggles and a wrench at the tip of the tail, the mascot was named "Parts Monkey". In certain animations or pictures, the goggles of the Parts Monkey display the related message to achieve friendlier communication.
I chose the color blue for stationery items since it's the color associated with mechanics due to the overalls they usually wear. Several designs were created for use as My Parts Club™ envelopes, invoices, letterhead and circular stickers for the authorized service centers.

I was inspired by vehicle dashboards with illuminated symbols displaying important information such as speed, oil and fuel levels. As a result, more than 50 icons were created with glow outlines to be placed throughout the website.

The website was designed in accordance with the friendly voice and tone of the platform, emphasizing the fact that auto parts do not have to be dull. The website opens with features, benefits and videos of the packages and plans. The site is fully responsive and scales down for viewing on smaller devices.
DASHBOARD INTERFACE
The most complex part of the website; the dashboard is a sophisticated system of features integrated with one another. Ease of use and understandability were the team's top priority when designing the dashboard. The side menu allows for clear surfing through the dashboard while the middle and the right side displays pertinent information.
APP UI/UX DESIGN

My Parts Club™ app has been built with the same "friendly" concept in mind while still offering all the features of the complete desktop website. Pastel colors were used by me with the purpose of delivering a calm experience as opposed to many apps in the market today which are not user-friendly.

The mobile app is fully responsive as well, making it easier for members to use it on their tablets and mobile devices with screen sizes larger than those of regular smartphones, while not compromising the premium feel of My Parts Club™.
